Leeds United have confirmed they made a special request to hold talks with the FA which was rejected.
This came as part of the disciplinary process into Patrick Bamford's charge.
Bamford was banned for two games for play acting which got Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi sent off.
Leeds felt the extraordinary circumstances in the game should have been a mitigating factor in Bamford's moment of poor judgement.
