Dutch Vailen想要拍他肩膀，但手及時停住了：「Kid, I heard you got hurt.」(孩子，我聽說你受傷了。)
任雪糖答：「Just need a few months to heal.」(只要幾個月就會恢復。)
「Losing must have hit you hard, huh?」(輸掉比賽讓很難受吧？)
任雪糖苦笑：「Definitely.」(當然了。)
Dutch Vailen淡淡地說：「Even if you give it your all, sometimes you still lose. That’s life.」(就算全力以赴，有時還是會輸，這就是人生。)
任雪糖點點頭，像上了一課。
任雪糖好奇地問：「What are you doing here at the snowboard big air competition?」(你怎麼來看單板大跳台比賽了？)
「I originally came to watch the freestyle ski big air competition, but right after that was the snowboard big air event and I saw your girlfriend competing. She has a shot at breaking the world record, so I decided to stay and watch.」(我本來是來看自由式滑雪的大跳台比賽的，但接著就是單板大跳台比賽，我看到你女朋友在參賽。她有機會打破世界紀錄，所以我就決定留下來看看。)
任雪糖再次否認：「No, Eiko's not my girlfriend.」(不，瑛子不是我女友。)
Dutch Vailen笑呵呵的說：「Is this how young people view relationships these days? They can’t figure each other out.」(這是現代年輕人看待感情的方式嗎？彼此之間總是猜不透對方。)
任雪糖轉移話題：「Where did Ghost go?」(Ghost去哪了？)
「I’m not sure either he’s been coming and going like a ghost these past few years.」(我也不清楚呢，這些年他總是神出鬼沒。)

「Have you known him for a long time?」(你認識他很久了？)
「I’ve known him for over a decade. Funny thing is, I used to think I’d never meet a snowboarding expert in my life.」(我認識他超過十年了。有趣的是，我以前還以為我這輩子不會遇到什麼滑雪高手。)
「So who is he, really?」(所以他到底是誰？)
「Ghost doesn’t seem to want me to reveal his true identity.」(Ghost 似乎不希望我揭露他的真實身份。)
「Can you at least give me a hint? I’ve known him for a while, but I still don’t know a thing about him.」(你至少能給我個提示嗎？我認識他一陣子了，但對他還是一無所知。)
「I get why you’re hesitant, but trust me when it comes to snowboarding instruction, he’s the best there is. No one alive is more qualified to teach.」(我懂你為什麼猶豫，但相信我，他是教單板滑雪最棒的人。沒有人比他更有資格。)
「Why?」(為什麼？)
