Following President Petro's refusal to accept two repatriation flights he had previously authorised, U.S. Secretary of State @SecRubio immediately ordered the suspension of visa issuance at the consular section of the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá.
@SecRubio is now authorising travel sanctions on individuals and their families who were responsible for interfering with US repatriation flight operations. The measures will continue until Colombia complies with its obligations to accept the return of its citizens. The US will not back down when it comes to defending its national security interests.
