The big surprise and it goes against what we have previously reported, is that the Canon EOS R5 Mark II will be officially announced ahead of the Canon EOS R1 in the “next couple of months”. I would think puts us in and around April.
A development announcement for the Canon EOS R1 will happen at the same time as the official announcement of the EOS R5 Mark II.
Canon will announce both an RF 28mm f/1.4 or f/1.8 (unknown if it's an L or not) and finally announce the Canon RF 35mm f/1.2L USM around the same time, perhaps the same day as the EOS R5 Mark II.
The Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Z will be announced before July 2024, and it will have the internal zoom that we have already reported on as well as the same power zoom functionality as the RF 24-105mm f/2.8L IS USM Z.
