✨NEW ERA FOR AFC'S CLUB COMPETITIONS FROM 2024-2025 SEASON
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will launch a new tournament system for clubs in Asia from the 2024-2025 season according to which:
✴️AFC Champions League : 24 clubs (instead of 40) with new format :
• All participating teams play in a single league phase instead of group stage like the previous (same as UEFA Champions League 2024-2025)
• Each team will be playing eight matches in the league phase as a minimum, with four matches at home and four matches at away, on a seeded basis.
• The top eight sides will qualify automatically for the knockout phase.
✴️ AFC Cup will have 32 clubs without division into regions.
✴️ A third league will be added, in which there will be 20 clubs
👉The allocation of slots by countries to participate in tournaments will change. A new AFC Club Competitions Ranking with a different scoring method will replace the current ranking.
Meanwhile, the format of competition in the AFC Champions League and the AFC Cup 2023/24 has not changed compared to this season.

在兩年前，歐陽耀冲從香港走到日本試腳，最後獲得J3球會YSCC橫濱的合約。歐陽耀冲透露，最初他的目的地並非橫濱，而是一支高層與香港足球甚有淵源的球會，他指當時其實合約已準備好，只是最後該球會聽到來自香港足總的意見，指他「不行了」，就令他的轉會告吹。對於究竟是誰「破壞好事」，歐陽耀冲表示無從知道，但他指形容該球會覺得「你們連自己人也不支持」，本身也一定有問題。

💬 主教練朱志光：「對手今季簽入很多前線球員，有一定的攻力，我相信他們會踢得比較主動。對手陣中大部份球員都在港超聯多個球季，部份亦曾與我合作，所以都比較熟悉。」
「上仗球隊踢畢120分鐘，會視球員恢復而決定陣容。雖然今仗被外界視為大戰，但我們不會感到特別大壓力，因為聯賽尚有漫漫長路，不是一場過的決賽。」
Head Coach Alex Chu: Lee Man signed many attacking players this season, so we expect to see a strong attacking team. Most of their players have been playing in Hong Kong for some time, and I have worked with quite a few of them so we know what they are capable of.
Our game last week went to extra time, so we will see how the players are feeling before making decisions. Many consider this to be the most important match in the season, but there are still many games to be played to decide the title so we don’t feel the pressure.
