Ms Yung Hoi-yan Eunice (Ms Yung) is a pro-Beijing politician, she is also a member of the New People's Party and the Civil Force of Hong Kong. She became a member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong for New Territories East in 2016.
Ms Yung agreed to pass the 2019 Hong Kong extradition bill, which led to the social movements and numerous missing people and unexplained deaths in Hong Kong during the period from 12th June 2019 to now. The bill was eventually withdrawn in October 2019. Ms Yung also agreed to pass the National Security Law (NSL), which was enacted by the Chinese Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, rather than by the Hong Kong Legislative Council in June 2020. The NSL undermines the rule of laws and human rights in Hong Kong.
