English school teacher is not on the UK's shortage occupation list - so you cannot get a work permit as an English teacher.

Only Chemistry, Maths and Physics school teachers are on the UK's shortage occupation list. (See page 7 of the link below)

If you gain your British Citizenship by the 1990 British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act (居英權計劃), you can be a British Citizen by descent. Any child of yours born outside of the UK may not get British Citizenship.

By giving birth in the UK will enable your child to have British Citizenship. In the case of a birth in Northern Ireland (Belfast for example), your child will also have Irish citizenship as long as one of the child's parent is a British Citizen at the time of the child's birth.
