Derived from the original ‘British? NO!’ BNO pun that mocks the (once) useless BNO passport, the updated pun addresses the freshly given right from Britain to BNO holders.
Exactly 23 years after the Hong Kong Handover, BNO holders are given the right to apply for a bespoke visa that paves a way for the once abandoned British subjects in Hong Kong to settle in the UK.
Unlike us, most other people in the world are required to pay over £2M in order to enjoy almost exactly the same right, the right to live in Britain, but there are much, much more to immigration than just numbers that you own. Many find themselves excluded from the local culture, and remain locked miserably within the bubble of their home culture in a foreign setting.
Culture is, put simply, the way how people live. Hong Kong and Britain are so close yet so different, what do we have in common and what do we not? It is nothing but a great big cloud of mist to most Hong Kong people.

Transport
Yes yes we don’t say ‘transportation’ here, unless you are going to Australia in a metal cage. People expressed their ‘deep concern’ about going around in Britain, like China did about US ‘interfering’ with Hong Kong’s ‘sovereignty’.
It is a bit of a mess outside London, but quite similar to Hong Kong when you stay inside the M25 (London’s circular motorway) bubble. To avoid confusion, I’ll just do London and the general situation outside of London.

London
Thanks to Transport For London (TFL, formerly London Regional Transport LRT), transport in London are properly organised under a single system, and are rather easy to use, albeit expensive.
The world is your Oyster in London, literally. Much like Hong Kong’s multi-use transport payment card ‘Octopus’, London’s card ‘Oyster’ is also named after a sea creature, and the phrase ‘The world is your oyster’.
There is simply no other easier way to pay other than by card. You touch your Oyster on that yellow disc whenever you board buses, trams and in and out of tube, train and ferry gates. The machines don’t show how much money have you got left on your card very well though, probably to avoid reminding you too much of how ridiculous their prices are.
In Hong Kong, the cheap transport comes at the price of sky-rocketing housing costs. In London, transport costs are so expensive because they have to cover other non-charging transport facilities, say ped(pedestrian) crossings, roads, tarmac, traffic lights and many other items. The Underground, being the most popular mean of transport, is obviously the most overpriced, seconded by buses and trams.
The London Underground have different charges across zone 1-6 (there are actually nine zones), while prices and caps apply as below:

The prices on the first column are for paper ticket/cash payment, and the two columns on the right are for Oyster/contactless payment. Now you know you should never ever travel in London without a card. There are currently plans to cancel free travel for children.
Caps:

The AUTOMATIC seven-day cap ONLY applies to contactless. It starts every Monday and ends every Sunday. Oyster users will have to purchase a seven-day travelcard separately.
Various discounts are available to students in London and Railcard holders, they are only available on Oyster.
The cap applies also to other services.
The official peak-times are:
06:30-09:30
16:00-19:00
Only applies to Mon-Fri, off-peak fares for holidays and weekends
However, a small grace period is available, but unadvertised. So the actual peak fare charging times are:

16:05-18:57
Peak-time fare only applies if both taps, in and out, are within peak-times.
Yes TFL charge you for staying in the tube for too long.

All buses and trams are charged the exact same price £1.5, the zone system do not apply here. Paying would allow you to ‘hop’ onto an unlimited amount of buses and trams for 60 minutes (70 minutes in action with grace period) under the hopper scheme. The cap for hopper fares is £4.4, which means you only have to pay maximum three times a day for buses and trams.
The amount you spend on buses and trams also add to the oyster cap.
TL; DR: Use contactless if you are not eligible for any discounts, Oyster when you are eligible for discounts. Avoid peak-times unless discount available.

Americanism r like Japanese words in Hong Kong, but try and use english as much as possible. You can ask us here if u r not too sure! I use can instead of tin sometimes as well, as long as they don’t hv different meanings, say cookie (曲奇餅larger round ones) and biscuit (餅乾smaller ones, usually served with tea).
