The recently released Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection is on sale for $22.49, which is the first discount we've seen on the Nintendo Switch version. The collection compiles six titles that originally released on Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS: Mega Man Zero 1-4, Mega Man ZX, and ZX Advent. If you prefer a physical version, Amazon has the collection discounted to $24.90.

ZX Advent and ZX are pretty damn good, but I feel like they don't compare to Zero in a lot of ways, i.e Zero had better theming, memorable characters, an overall better story, tight gameplay and ranking system that made you want to do better, and missions that felt like they really meant something in the overarching story.
So when you come off all that, ZX does feel kind of standard.
And yes, please try Gunvolt at least. It's basically a lovechild of Zero and ZX, and it's amazing.

I agree. I thought both games were fantastic but still felt that the story feels forced in the sense that it's trying too hard to feel connected to it's predecessors while being entirely different. ZX was still fine since we can at least guess that Prairie is most likely Aluotte from the Resistance in Zero but Biometals being the souls of X and Zero? I mean we all love X and Zero but seeing them like that just makes it seem like the game is trying too hard in clinging to the past and forgetting to forge it's own identity.
I love references to past games and lore but the story really isn't as interesting as compared to MMX and MMZ series.
