Well welcome to LIHKG! It’s very encouraging to know that people out there in the world start noticing this and are willing to stand with us.
I do have one question to ask: to what extend you think the CCP has “invaded” you personally, and the friends or family of you? When I said “Invade” is more like does it change out your community, does it affect the way you spend money, the entertainment part and whatever just your personal daily life?
I’m asking this because I’m still very shocked everytime I saw so many companies and ppl just decided to lick CCP’s ass immediately when something happened.

Yours is absolutely right for this sentence I’m impressed actually.
For some they are they same. There are only about a thousand something simplified Chinese characters comparing to about 50000 traditional characters. But they only chose the words you would use daily. If you just start learning this it’s pretty hard for you to see the difference of them. So the only way is : be sure you are learning from a good website or tool. What are you currently using?

That’s a good question. I think that the voluntary self censorship of our corporations is probably the most significant way that the CCP has affected us. Another effect is the ongoing trade war. With that being said, I don’t think there are significant community and society- level effects yet. China isn’t on everyone’s minds in the same way that the USSR was during the Cold War, for example. There is, however, a growing number of people who try to avoid buying Chinese goods.
Personally, I think it would be very unwise for me to travel to China after being involved with pro Hong Kong rallies and posting flyers etc for so long. Maybe I’m just being paranoid, but I think there’s a real chance I could be arrested or otherwise hassled if I attempted to visit the mainland.
