Withdrawal is just a word. There is not even a tiny bit of true concession. Hong Kong people are still suffering from PRC intervention on all fronts.

We have five demands. Withdrawal of the amendment bill is only one of them. The five demands are:
1. Full withdrawal of the extradition bill
2. A commission of inquiry into alleged police brutality
3. Retracting the classification of protesters as “rioters”
4. Amnesty for arrested protesters
5. Dual universal suffrage for both the Legislative Council and
the Chief Executive
The 2nd, 3rd, and the 4th demands arise because the government refused to withdraw the bill amendment after a marching of 1 million Hong Kong people. The 5th demand is the ultimate solution of the turmoil in Hong Kong.
Now the government withdraws the bill, and it is not a concession at all. It’s only a tactic of the government trying to kill the movement by the people.
